Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

The Production Shift Supervisor leads the daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role acts as the SAP Key‑User, coordinates with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance, and drives continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily job orders from the Production Manager and ensure targets align with monthly goals.
• Act as SAP Key‑User: create material requisitions, post daily production, monitor stock levels, and resolve COGI issues.
• Monitor raw and packaging material stocks to prevent outages or waste.
• Check product weight periodically for accuracy and enforce strict SOP compliance.
• Maintain 5S standards throughout the shift and ensure equipment operates at optimal OEE.
• Analyze breakdowns, coordinate with Engineering for critical spares, and ensure rapid maintenance response.
• Oversee accurate stacking and dispatch of finished goods to stores.
• Enforce GMP and HSE practices, and participate in accident prevention programs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly department reports and lead production meetings.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to meet statutory requirements.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Operations/Production Management or related discipline; professional certification a plus.
• Minimum seven years progressive supervisory experience in culinary, food/beverage processing within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of root‑cause analysis, HACCP, GMP, organic handling procedures, and food plant safety.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
