Production Pharmacist – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Pharmacist will oversee manufacturing operations at Jawa International Limited, ensuring that all products are produced in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), approved batch records, and regulatory standards. The role coordinates production activities, maintains product quality and yield, and guarantees accurate documentation throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day production activities, ensuring compliance with batch manufacturing records and SOPs.
• Verify that all manufacturing operations meet GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and sign off batch manufacturing and packaging records for accuracy.
• Monitor production schedules to meet targets without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance/Control to resolve in‑process deviations and non‑conformances.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment according to GMP standards.
• Train production staff on GMP, SOPs, and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, yield reconciliations, and material usage documentation.

Required profile

• Pharmacy degree with registration on the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) register.
• 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical production or manufacturing, with solid GMP knowledge.
• High level of integrity and accountability in production operations.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Strong commitment to GMP, safety, and quality compliance.
• Proactive attitude in identifying process issues and implementing solutions.
