Production Operator – Ice Production & Cooling

About the role

Production Operators are full‑time, on‑site staff based in Lagos who operate and monitor ice‑production and cooling equipment. They ensure safe, efficient performance of machines that produce ice blocks and support the company’s cold‑chain services.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished ice products, maintaining organized work areas.
• Perform basic equipment checks, routine inspections and report any faults promptly.
• Follow standard operating procedures for production, packaging, and storage to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety guidelines while supporting inventory and logistics teams to achieve production targets.
• Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to minimise downtime and ensure reliable supply to customers.

Required profile

• Ability to operate basic production machinery safely, preferably with experience in industrial or cold‑chain environments.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent adherence to SOPs, quality checks and safety protocols.
• Basic technical and mechanical aptitude for routine inspections and minor troubleshooting.
• Physical stamina to work in cold conditions, lift moderate loads and stand for extended periods.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work shifts and coordinate with production and logistics teams.
