Product Manager - Bills Payment

About the role

Renmoney is looking for a Product Manager to lead its Bills Payment and Transfer products in Lagos. You will shape the strategy, drive growth and ensure a seamless, compliant experience for retail and small‑business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end product strategy for airtime, mobile data, utility bill payments and bank‑to‑bank transfers.
• Translate the company’s digital banking vision into a clear roadmap and value propositions for different customer segments.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators such as transaction volume, success rate, revenue and cost per transaction.
• Collaborate with Finance to optimise pricing, manage partner margins and assess impact on deposit balances.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery with engineering, design, operations and customer support, writing detailed product requirement documents and prioritising initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria, NIBSS and Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, and work with Risk & Compliance to mitigate fraud and dispute risks.
• Manage relationships with payment processors, utility providers and telecom partners, defining service‑level expectations and overseeing integration.
• Drive customer adoption through simple onboarding, transparent pricing and fast issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing digital payments or financial products, preferably in a fintech environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into product improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across finance, engineering, legal and operations.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian payments ecosystem and regulatory landscape.
