Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for Teestone Hotel and Apartment in Lagos. The role ensures that all hotel operations receive the right supplies at the best value while maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and quality.
• Purchase hotel supplies, equipment, food & beverage items, housekeeping and maintenance materials.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment and prevent stock shortages.
• Prepare purchase orders, quotations and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
• Compare supplier quotations and recommend cost‑effective purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their procurement needs.
• Ensure purchased items meet hotel quality specifications.
• Track deliveries, resolve delays or incorrect orders.
• Conduct market research to discover new suppliers and pricing opportunities.
• Assist in budget planning and cost‑control initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with hotel procurement policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• At least two years of experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
