Procurement Officer – FMCG (Ibadan)

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG company in Ibadan, is looking for a Procurement Officer to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, supplier relationships and import processes. The role ensures timely sourcing of materials, equipment and spare parts while complying with company policies and Nigerian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare purchase requisitions, source quotations, issue purchase orders and follow up on goods receipt and vendor payments.
• Evaluate, negotiate and onboard suppliers, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance and stores to fulfil procurement needs.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, price and delivery, and address any issues.
• Handle import documentation (Form M, PAAR, SONCAP, etc.) and liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Maintain accurate procurement, import and customs records for audit and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end procurement processes and Nigerian import regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities, vendors and deadlines effectively.
