Private Chef – Abuja

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and professional Private Chef to join a private household in Abuja. The chef will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and beautifully presented meals that meet the family’s preferences and dietary needs, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals for the household, covering both Nigerian and international cuisines.
• Develop weekly menus based on preferences, dietary requirements and available ingredients.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Manage kitchen organisation, cleanliness, food storage and safety standards.
• Monitor household food supplies, prepare shopping lists and minimise waste.
• Prepare meals for occasional private events or guests when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef, Private Chef, Personal Chef or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Ability to prepare a range of Nigerian and international dishes.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Reliable, discreet and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• References from previous employers are required.
