Pressure Controlled Equipment (PCE) Technician

About the role

The PCE Technician ensures inspection, maintenance, testing, repair and certification of pressure control equipment used in well‑intervention and coiled‑tubing operations, supporting safe and efficient field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and certify pressure control equipment, including coiled‑tubing BOPs and associated systems, in line with OEM specifications and industry standards.
• Perform equipment function testing, pressure testing, ram change‑outs and maintenance of blind, shear, slip and pipe rams to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support for well‑intervention and coiled‑tubing operations, covering equipment preparation, mobilization, rig‑up, rig‑down, installation support and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Manage equipment records, maintenance documentation, inventory control and logistics to meet Nigerian regulatory and operational requirements.

Required profile

• HND in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Materials/Metallurgy) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience with coiled‑tubing BOPs, especially Texas Oil Tools (TOT) ES, EZ and EH series.
• Familiarity with Quad, Dual Combi and Single Combi configurations in nominal sizes 3‑1/16”, 4‑1/16”, 5‑1/8” and 7‑1/16” (10K and 15K).
• Experience in ram change‑out, function testing and maintenance of blind, shear, slip and pipe rams.
• Previous TOT training/certification preferred.
