Part‑time New Business Development Specialist (Remote)

About the role

VERNACULA is seeking a part‑time New Business Development professional to help expand its client base and revenue in the UK. This remote role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities for the agency’s digital and creative services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across target markets.
• Conduct outreach to prospective clients and present VERNACULA’s services.
• Develop tailored proposals and participate in discovery calls.
• Collaborate with internal creative and production teams to align solutions with client needs.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects, track progress against sales goals, and support contract negotiations.
• Build and sustain relationships with prospective and existing clients through follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• Experience in business development or sales, with a track record of identifying and closing opportunities.
• Business planning abilities, including setting growth targets and analysing market trends.
• Account management experience, understanding client objectives and supporting retention/upsell.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working remotely.
• Familiarity with digital marketing, creative agencies, or content production is a plus.
• A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Competence in productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, document editors).
• Experience using virtual meeting platforms for client interactions.
