Operations Training Manager

About the role

The Training Manager (Operations) is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Lagos, Port Harcourt or Abuja. Responsible for planning, developing, and delivering training programs for operations staff, ensuring employees understand standard operating procedures and service quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver periodic training to supervisors and couriers across all delivery sites.
• Conduct needs analysis with operations managers and supervisors to identify skill gaps and design custom training modules.
• Track training effectiveness by gathering qualitative and quantitative feedback and measuring ROI.
• Provide technology training on logistics software and tracking tools.
• Ensure safety and compliance by liaising with managers and enforcing operational best practices.
• Update training materials to reflect changes in operational procedures.
• Design and administer assessment tests to evaluate trainee understanding.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and budget compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering operational training programs in logistics, supply chain or similar environments.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate sessions and engage diverse teams.
• Analytical ability to assess training needs, interpret performance data and improve content.
• Good understanding of logistics operations, last‑mile delivery and franchise management systems.
• Experience in employee training and familiarity with SOPs and safety standards.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field (preferred).
