About the role
UNICEF is seeking a National Digital Learning Consultant to support the implementation of digital learning initiatives across Nigeria. Working from the Abuja office for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, the consultant will report to the Chief of Education and help align national programmes with global strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external digital learning programmes at global and national levels.
- Support grant management, including costed work‑plans, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
- Review, update and ensure quality of digital teaching and learning content in line with the new national curriculum.
- Define device specifications, oversee procurement, delivery and installation of PCs, tablets and projectors for schools and government offices.
- Collaborate with HQ and ICT teams to design and pilot new NLP functions such as AI‑supported teaching tools.
- Lead the rollout, training and monitoring of the National Learning Platform (NLP) in additional states.
- Engage private‑sector partners to secure funding for internet connectivity and related resources.
Required profile
- Experience in coordinating digital learning or education technology programmes.
- Background in grant implementation and financial monitoring.
- Familiarity with national curriculum standards and content development processes.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including government, NGOs and private partners.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
