National Digital Learning Consultant – Abuja (12‑month contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Digital Learning Consultant to support the implementation of its digital education initiatives across Nigeria. The 12‑month consultancy is office‑based in Abuja and reports to the Chief of Education.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external digital learning programmes at global and national levels, ensuring alignment with strategy and priorities.
• Support grant management for projects with digital learning components, including work‑plan development, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
• Review and update digital teaching and learning content to match the new national curriculum and validate updates.
• Define device specifications (PCs, tablets, projectors) for deployment, and work with supply teams to procure, deliver and install equipment in schools and government offices.
• Identify and plan new functions for the National Learning Platform, such as AI‑supported teaching tools and course management enhancements.
• Lead the rollout of the platform to additional states, train digital learning teams, and develop state implementation plans.
• Monitor platform usage and related activities, producing regular reports.
• Collaborate with the partnership section to explore and maintain private‑sector engagements.

Required profile

• Based in Abuja, Nigeria.
• Consultant contract for a 12‑month duration.
• Works under the supervision of the Chief of Education.
