Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the ITN (Insecticide‑treated net) campaign in Nigeria. Reporting to the Data Quality and Technology Manager and an M&E Director, the officer will ensure data quality, conduct field verification and provide timely evidence for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of the campaign M&E plan, indicators, tools and reporting framework.
• Prepare and review state, LGA, ward and field‑level monitoring plans aligned with targets and donor requirements.
• Conduct routine field monitoring of household registration, mobilisation and ITN distribution, including spot checks and productivity assessments.
• Identify implementation gaps, missed settlements and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform data quality reviews, validate data from digital platforms, monitoring forms and distribution records, and document findings.
• Assist with micro‑planning validation, settlement‑level coverage monitoring and post‑campaign assessment.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 48 months (4 years) of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in health or humanitarian campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to work with field teams, supervise monitors and ensure timely reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
