Modern Workplace Identity Platform Engineer

About the role

The Modern Workplace Identity Platform Engineer will design, operate, and continuously improve identity services within the Microsoft Modern Workplace ecosystem. You will work on Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, authorization, Conditional Access, SSO, and automation using Microsoft Graph to ensure secure, auditable, and scalable identity management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft Entra ID identity services, including users, groups, dynamic groups, administrative units, roles, and directory objects.
• Administer authentication methods such as MFA, passwordless, and modern authentication.
• Configure and maintain Conditional Access policies and identity protection measures.
• Document platform procedures, operational guides, and troubleshooting steps.
• Integrate enterprise applications using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign‑On integrations and manage app registrations, service principals, API permissions, certificates, and secrets.
• Resolve authentication and authorization issues, including failed sign‑ins, token problems, consent errors, and claims mapping.
• Collaborate with application teams to define secure identity integration patterns.
• Support joiner, mover, leaver, contractor, guest, and admin identity processes and implement lifecycle automation workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and access governance concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional application teams.
