Medical Officer

About the role

The Edward and Clara Memorial Clinic is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join its team in Lagos. You will deliver high‑quality clinical care, support preventive health initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, examinations, diagnoses and prescribe appropriate treatments.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Refer patients to specialists when required and follow up on specialist recommendations.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Promote preventive health education and patient awareness.
• Adhere to clinic policies, ethical standards and perform assigned administrative duties.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience (approximately 36 months).
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
