Medical Manager – Health Maintenance Organization

About the role

MetroHealth HMO Limited, a licensed Health Maintenance Organization based in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a Medical Manager to lead its medical operations. The role will ensure the delivery of high‑quality, affordable healthcare services across the company’s network of accredited providers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee utilization review processes to optimize patient care and cost efficiency.
• Manage relationships with hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with NHIA regulations and internal quality standards.
• Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of healthcare data to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS/MBChB) with a valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) sector.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare management, utilization review and provider relationship management.
• Sound understanding of NHIA regulations and healthcare quality standards.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
