Media and Communication Expert

About the role

DNA Learning Center Nigeria is looking for a creative and tech‑savvy Media and Communication Expert to boost its science education programmes, public engagement and institutional visibility. The role will combine storytelling, digital content production and media outreach to advance scientific literacy across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for the website, social media platforms, newsletters and print materials.
• Support media planning, campaigns and brand‑visibility initiatives.
• Document programmes through photography, videography and written reports.
• Maintain and regularly update the organisation’s website and social media pages.
• Design flyers, brochures and other publicity assets.
• Liaise with media partners, journalists and other stakeholders.
• Provide event coverage, live‑streaming and post‑event communication.
• Maintain the media archive and manage the content calendar.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media/Communication Studies, Marketing or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in media, communications or digital marketing.
• Strong writing, editing and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, team‑spirited and professional.
• Passion for education, innovation and community impact.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social‑media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Basic graphic‑design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
• Video‑editing capabilities.
• Photography and videography.
• Website content management (CMS) and regular updates.
