Mechanical Design Engineer – Innovative Projects

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Lagos. The role involves designing and developing mechanical systems, components, and products that meet industry standards and client specifications, working on cutting‑edge projects in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure performance and safety.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers—to optimise product designs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
• Conduct prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Support manufacturing and assembly phases and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design or a similar role.
• Experience with design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes: machining, injection molding, sheet‑metal fabrication.
