Material Planning Specialist

About the role

The Material Planning Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for ensuring that all materials needed for pharmaceutical production are available on time. The role combines forecasting, inventory control, and cross‑functional collaboration to support safe and efficient manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast material requirements and develop detailed material plans aligned with production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels, review purchase orders and track deliveries to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Update planning systems and maintain accurate documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Resolve material‑related issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders promptly.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, quality, and finance teams to align material needs with budget constraints.
• Continuously improve planning processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and planning abilities to forecast needs and manage inventory.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Basic finance understanding to assess budgeting and cost impact.
• Experience in supply chain, materials management, or production planning, preferably in pharma or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP or material planning systems and advanced spreadsheet/data‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, pharmacy, or related field, or equivalent experience.
