Marketing and Business Development Manager

About the role

Primote Africa is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager to develop and execute marketing and go‑to‑market strategies, generate leads, and build partnerships in the advertising technology space. The role will bridge product, commercial and creative teams to drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing and go‑to‑market strategies that communicate the company’s unique services.
• Generate and qualify leads among brands, agencies, and businesses seeking higher‑quality advertising outcomes.
• Build partnerships and business development opportunities with advertisers, media partners, and technology platforms.
• Create compelling content, case studies, presentations, and campaigns that demonstrate proven engagement and commercial results.
• Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities in the advertising and marketing technology space.
• Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and campaign performance; refine strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with product and commercial teams to align messaging with platform capabilities.
• Manage marketing initiatives and support the sales pipeline from awareness through conversion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive B2B marketing and/or business development experience, preferably in AdTech, MarTech, digital advertising or SaaS platforms.
• Proven track record of generating leads and driving revenue growth for technology or advertising solutions.
• Strong understanding of brand marketing challenges, advertising ROI and authentic engagement.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute hands‑on campaigns.
