Manager, Facilities

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Manager, Facilities to lead a team of facilities staff and oversee daily operations across its branches in Nigeria. The role covers the day-to-day running of facilities, maintenance and the quality of services purchased, while keeping buildings, grounds and equipment in optimal working condition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of facilities staff and ensure the smooth functioning of all facilities
• Implement and maintain safety protocols, conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Take part in smaller projects, renovations or relocations, ensuring timely and within-budget completion
• Direct preventative repairs and maintenance so that buildings and equipment stay well maintained
• Ensure services purchased meet acceptable quality at the lowest possible cost and comply with procurement policy
• Maintain high customer service standards, liaise with service providers and monitor maintenance activities against service levels
• Inspect workmanship and materials according to manuals, and schedule preventive maintenance with the BSM and Asset Custodian
• Manage resources for branches within the region and ensure bank operations comply with property maintenance procedures, policies and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Estate/Facilities Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in Facilities Management or Customer Service Management
• A Master's degree or professional certification is an added advantage
