About the role
The Lubricants Technical Sales Officer will drive growth of the company's lubricants business across Lagos and the Southwest. You will be responsible for achieving sales, revenue and gross‑margin targets while building strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly volume, revenue and gross‑margin targets for lubricants.
- Identify, prospect and convert new customers and business accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase market share.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads from prospecting, referrals and market visits.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and close sales in line with pricing policies.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular updates on prospects.
- Monitor customer orders, deliveries, payments and outstanding receivables.
- Conduct market visits and track competitor pricing, products and activities.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional lubricant products to existing customers.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to meet product and application requirements.
- Support product promotions, roadshows and other market activation initiatives.
- Prepare accurate sales and market performance reports and ensure compliance with credit, pricing and reporting procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Social Sciences or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant sales or business development experience, preferably in lubricants, automotive, petroleum or oil & gas.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in B2B sales and customer acquisition.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication abilities.
- Commercially driven, target‑oriented and self‑motivated.
