Logistics Specialist Intern

About the role

The Logistics Specialist Intern supports the team in executing logistics operations while meeting delivery dates, service level and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for transport requests and monitor delivery dates to achieve on‑time delivery.
• Support equipment load‑out plans according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor shipment and truck routings, leverage consolidation and cargo optimisation, and maximise back‑load opportunities.
• Review work orders, monitor shipment execution and track shipment movements.
• Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with international transport regulations.
• Track cargo status and monitor performance.
• Update import and export systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field.
• Recent graduate, not more than 2 years post‑graduation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Completed NYSC.
• Knowledge of logistics rules, regulations and processes in Nigeria.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced, dynamic industry.
