Logistics Associate (Temporary) – Lagos

About the role

The Logistics Associate will support the continuous provision of affordable, high‑quality supplies and services for UNICEF operations in Nigeria. Working under the Supply and Logistics Specialist, the role ensures compliance with UNICEF policies and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clearance of incoming goods and coordination of forwarding.
• In‑country logistics support, including warehouse and inventory management.
• Preparation of import regulatory submissions in liaison with Programme Section and Procurement Services.
• Ensuring supply plans incorporate distribution plans and funding sources.
• Estimating logistics commitments, allocating to vendors, and monitoring logistics spend.
• Quarterly review of outstanding logistics commitments.
• Reporting and planning activities related to logistics operations.

Required profile

• Experience supporting supply and logistics functions in a humanitarian or development context.
• Ability to work under supervision and adhere to UNICEF policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Strong coordination skills with programme and procurement teams.
