Live-in Nanny (Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated live‑in nanny to provide full‑time, attentive care for children in a Muslim household in Abuja. The role includes supporting the children’s daily routines, academic activities, and creating a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsible care for the children, including meals, personal care, and bedtime routines.
• Assist with homework, school assignments, reading and other academic activities.
• Engage children in educational, creative and age‑appropriate activities.
• Maintain a structured, positive environment and monitor safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Prepare meals or snacks for the children when required and keep the surrounding area clean.
• Communicate clearly with children, household members and parents, reporting any concerns about wellbeing, behaviour or schoolwork.
• Respect and adhere to the values, routines and expectations of the Muslim household.
• Perform other reasonable child‑care‑related duties as needed.

Required profile

• Female, preferably aged 40 years or above.
• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience as a nanny, governess, childcare provider, teacher or similar role.
• Excellent spoken English with strong communication skills.
• Patient, caring, trustworthy, emotionally mature and able to assist confidently with schoolwork.
• Good understanding of children’s educational and developmental needs.
• Comfortable working live‑in in Abuja and within a Muslim household.
• Good personal hygiene, neat appearance and professional conduct.
• References or verifiable previous childcare experience are an advantage.
