Legal Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Officer to join our team in Lagos. The role supports the legal function through research, document preparation, and compliance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with legal research and prepare summaries of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
• Draft, review, and organize legal documents, agreements, letters, and other correspondence.
• Support the preparation and review of contracts and other legal documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of legal documents and case files.
• Assist with monitoring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Support the preparation of reports, briefs, and other legal materials.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to the legal function.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; BL qualification is an added advantage.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, including internship or NYSC experience.
• Good understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
