Legal Associate – Startup & Technology Law

About the role

The Associate will work full‑time on‑site in Lagos, supporting a broad range of matters in startup, technology, corporate and commercial law for innovation‑driven clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts, corporate documents and transaction agreements.
• Prepare legal opinions, conduct legal research and assist with regulatory compliance.
• Participate in client meetings, support negotiations and help structure investment deals.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers on advisory and transactional work and contribute to knowledge development.

Required profile

• LL.B degree from a recognised institution and admission to practice law in Nigeria.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills with ability to interpret statutes, regulations and case law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting complex legal issues clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and corporate documents.
• Knowledge of corporate, commercial, startup and technology law, including Nigerian regulatory and compliance frameworks.
