Legal Associate – Corporate & Litigation (Lekki)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing law firm in Lekki, Lagos, is looking for a proactive Legal Associate to join its corporate, commercial and dispute‑resolution team. You will provide client‑focused legal advice, manage litigation matters and support a range of corporate transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely, commercially‑oriented legal advice across corporate, commercial and dispute‑resolution matters.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, mediation and other ADR forums; prepare pleadings, motions and briefs.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, shareholders’ agreements, service agreements, employment contracts and leases.
• Conduct legal due‑diligence for mergers, acquisitions and investments.
• Prepare corporate governance documents, board resolutions and statutory filings.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and produce well‑reasoned opinions and memoranda.

Required profile

• Law degree with Call to Bar (post‑call) qualification.
• 2–4 years of post‑call experience in corporate, commercial and litigation practice.
• Strong advocacy, analytical and drafting abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while delivering practical, client‑focused solutions.
