About the role
The Lead, Compliance Quality Assurance is the tactical backbone of Moniepoint’s quality assessment framework. You will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the QA Assessor team, turning quality assurance into a catalyst for operational excellence across KYC, AML, LEA, transaction monitoring and fraud functions.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise, train and manage QA Assessors, ensuring consistent grading through regular file calibration exercises.
- Lead secondary review across the Six Pillars (AML/Transaction Monitoring, Regulatory Control/LEA, Forensic Fraud) to identify accuracy, speed and compliance gaps.
- Maintain a centralized Compliance Defect Log and provide weekly actionable feedback to operational Team Leads.
- Perform deep‑dive analyses on compliance misses to distinguish system threshold errors from investigator oversight and recommend process adjustments.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by supplying evidence of QA testing integrity and audit‑ready data.
Required profile
- 2–4 years of progressive experience in Compliance QA, Financial Crime Investigation, or EDD/CDD within FinTech or commercial banking.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency with compliance tools and data analysis using SQL and Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of Nigerian AML/CFT regulations, instant payment fraud, card/POS fraud typologies and legal protocols for LEA, CDD, EDD and customer screening.
- Professional certifications such as DCP, CAMS, CFE or ICA International Diploma are a plus.
