Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Pivotpoint Consulting is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and assist chefs during service periods at its Abuja location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, portioning and pre‑cooking ingredients.
• Support chefs and kitchen leads during service periods.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, utensils and equipment.
• Coordinate deliveries and interface with dispatch riders.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Handle stock, storage, rotation and waste management.
• Follow SOPs and perform other assigned kitchen duties.

Required profile

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation environment.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Training or certification in food safety is a plus.
• Females are encouraged to apply for gender balance.
