Key Stage 1 & 2 Teacher (Primary)

About the role

Wakefield International School is looking for enthusiastic Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 teachers to deliver high‑quality education to children aged 5‑11. The successful candidates will create an inclusive, supportive classroom where every learner can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students across KS1 and KS2.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and guardians to support student wellbeing.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, achievements and assessments.
• Participate in school events, meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in a Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 setting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of the KS1/KS2 curriculum and assessment standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Passion for teaching, creativity in lesson planning and a commitment to continuous professional development.
