Junior Product Manager – Product Operations & Internal Platforms

About the role

Duplo is a Lagos‑based fintech startup building a unified platform for spend management, cross‑border payments and business finance. As a Junior Product Manager you will act as the engine room of the product team, ensuring agile ceremonies run smoothly and owning the internal back‑office tools that power the whole company.

Key responsibilities

• Run all agile ceremonies for the product team – sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Translate roadmap priorities into well‑written tickets and epics for Engineering and Design.
• Track sprint velocity, delivery risk and blockers, and proactively resolve issues.
• Own the product roadmap and backlog for internal tools such as Duplo Admin and Metabase.
• Gather requirements from Support, Compliance, Finance and Operations and prioritize them against engineering capacity.
• Maintain and improve agile tooling (e.g., Jira/Linear) and reporting cadence for leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or similar delivery‑focused role, preferably in a fast‑moving tech or fintech environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Solid knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and hands‑on experience running stand‑ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Experience with internal/back‑office tools such as admin dashboards or analytics platforms.
