IT / Facility Support Officer

About the role

A healthcare/oncology organisation in Lekki, Lagos is looking for a proactive IT / Facility Support Officer to provide first-line IT support and keep the organisation's facilities running smoothly. The post covers end-user support, IT infrastructure maintenance, facility maintenance coordination and a safe, secure working environment. It is a full-time position reporting to the Head of IT / Operations Manager, with a net monthly salary of N250,000 - N300,000.

Key responsibilities

• First-level support for hardware, software, printers and network issues; install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals
• Manage user accounts, email setup and access permissions; monitor network connectivity, internet and Wi-Fi
• Perform system updates, backups, antivirus management and preventive maintenance; keep IT asset inventory and escalate complex issues to vendors or senior IT staff
• Coordinate routine maintenance of office and healthcare facilities, including electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning systems, and liaise with vendors
• Monitor cleanliness, safety and upkeep of the premises, and support health, safety and compliance standards
• Maintain records of IT assets, maintenance activities and service requests, and prepare periodic reports on IT performance and facility maintenance
• Support office setup, relocations and infrastructure improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in IT support, facilities management or a similar role; healthcare or corporate experience is an added advantage
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL or CCNA are an added advantage

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Windows, networking and office infrastructure
• IT troubleshooting, basic networking and systems administration, hardware and software installation
• Vendor and contractor management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
