Investment Associate – Lagos

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our client’s investment team in Lagos. The role focuses on deal origination, execution, portfolio management, and strategic development across a diversified holding company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial models and investment memoranda to evaluate new opportunities.
• Support due‑diligence activities, coordinate stakeholders, and prepare internal and external transaction documents.
• Assist with transaction execution workstreams as needed.
• Conduct competitive analysis of portfolio companies, monitor market trends, and provide financial advisory support.
• Develop and maintain investment models, portfolio data, and analytics; review monthly management accounts of portfolio firms.
• Help formulate and review strategic plans for the holding company and its subsidiaries, including annual budgets and long‑term forecasts.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in investment research, capital raising, deal origination, execution, or monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related analytical field; advanced qualifications (CA, CFA) are a plus.
• Proven ability to build complex financial models, perform valuations and comparable company analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving, project management and multi‑tasking capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
