Inventory Officer

About the role

The Inventory Officer will manage the flow of parts and consumables across MAX’s fleet and refurbishment operations, ensuring accurate stock records in both physical stores and the Odoo ERP system. You will be responsible for issuing components, monitoring reorder points, and supporting the maintenance team with timely supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive new stock and perform physical and ERP stock taking.
• Issue parts to refurbishment team with proper documentation.
• Issue engine oil for maintenance and record transactions in Odoo.
• Monitor reorder levels, calculate reorder quantities, and initiate weekly replenishment in Odoo.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and raise purchase requests for parts and fleet items.
• Analyse request trends to identify fast‑moving and slow‑moving items and optimise inventory capital.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years experience in mechanical, technical, fleet operations or inventory management.
• Experience in startups, mobility, fintech, logistics or tech‑enabled businesses is strongly preferred.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering or related field; MBA or certifications a plus.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with critical thinking ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and data‑visualisation tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP for stock management.
