Inventory Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Inventory Officer to manage stock for D’xplorer Cakes and Catering Services Ltd in Lagos. The role involves receiving, inspecting, and recording inventory, as well as ensuring accurate records and timely replenishment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records and documentation.
• Organize and store stock for easy identification and retrieval.
• Issue stock based on approved requests following procedures.
• Coordinate and document stock transfers between locations or departments.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, shortages, and variances.
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Prepare and submit periodic inventory reports to management.
• Track stock movement, usage, losses, damages, and wastage.
• Implement measures to minimize inventory losses and wastage.
• Support procurement by providing accurate stock information and replenishment requirements.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to protect stock from damage or deterioration.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Degree in a related field.
