Inventory Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Inventory Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt. The role involves maintaining accurate stock records, supporting procurement, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations within the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records using ERP systems, spreadsheets or approved tools.
• Record and track all stock movements from receipt through storage to dispatch.
• Monitor minimum, maximum and safety stock levels and alert procurement when re‑order points are reached.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile physical stock with system data and investigate variances.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO rotation, monitor expiry dates and manage damaged or obsolete items.
• Enforce security procedures and report any suspected loss or unauthorized movements.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with up to two years of experience in inventory or warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.
• Good communication skills for reporting discrepancies and coordinating with procurement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management systems or ERP software.
• Competence in using spreadsheets for data tracking.
• Basic understanding of stock rotation methods such as FIFO and FEFO.
