Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join Candix Engineering Nigeria Ltd in Port Harcourt. The role involves evaluating financial, operational and compliance processes across our engineering and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Review project costs, procurement activities, contracts, and inventory controls.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
• Identify process gaps, control deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Support investigations into suspected fraud, waste, or policy violations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant auditing experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or project‑based environments.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication abilities.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is an advantage.
