Interior Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative Interior Designer to join Kenex Konsults International in Port Harcourt. The role involves translating client visions into functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces while managing projects from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients to gather requirements, preferences, objectives and budget.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts and detailed space plans.
• Select colour schemes, materials, finishes, lighting, furnishings and décor.
• Produce sketches, drawings and 3D visualisations for client approval.
• Prepare project timelines, budgets and cost estimates and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with contractors, artisans, vendors and suppliers on site.
• Present proposals, incorporate feedback and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare design documentation, specifications and procurement schedules ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
• Research current design trends, materials and innovative solutions to improve aesthetics, functionality and sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional interior design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed interior projects.
• Excellent creativity, visualisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
