Interior Designer – Full‑time (Lagos)

About the role

MOD-ii is seeking a full‑time Interior Designer to join its Lagos studio. You will create functional, modern interiors for commercial, hospitality, residential and institutional projects across Africa, turning concepts into built environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, space plans and material palettes aligned with client goals.
• Produce design presentations, mood boards and 3D visualisations.
• Create detailed construction drawings, elevations, sections and schedules.
• Select and specify furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) within aesthetic and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers on‑site.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits and design reviews to ensure design intent.
• Coordinate project timelines, respond to technical queries and support quality control during construction and installation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Proven experience preparing detailed construction drawings for diverse project types.
• Strong understanding of architecture, building systems and sustainable, context‑sensitive design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp.
• Experience with FF&E selection and specification.
