Interior Designer – Flooring Specialist

About the role

Floorkraft Limited is seeking an Interior Designer to lead premium flooring and wall‑cladding projects across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. You will work closely with clients and on‑site contractors to deliver high‑quality interior finishes that match design intent and functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑installation site visits to assess sub‑floor and wall conditions and take precise measurements.
• Prepare surfaces by leveling, cleaning, drying and priming before installing materials.
• Install SPC Rigid Core flooring, carpet tiles, laminate floors, WPC decking, interlocking deck tiles and vertical solutions such as fluted wall cladding and accent wall planks.
• Cut, trim and fit materials around obstacles while maintaining a flawless finish.
• Advise clients on pattern matching, grain orientation, product selection for lighting and foot traffic.
• Interpret architectural drawings or client sketches into accurate layout plans.
• Maintain strict HSE compliance and manage tools responsibly.
• Rectify installation defects promptly and collaborate with masons, painters and site supervisors to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• OND/HND/BSc in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of verified experience in interior decoration and flooring installation.
• Certification in finish carpentry, interior tiling or specialist flooring installation is highly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with modern engineered surfaces such as SPC flooring, WPC decking and fluted wall cladding.
