Instructor & Science Educator

About the role

DNA Learning Centre Nigeria is looking for a passionate Instructor & Science Educator to deliver hands‑on genetics and molecular genetics programmes to pre‑college students during field trips and summer camps. The role involves designing and leading interactive sessions that inspire young learners and promote scientific literacy across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical instruction in genetics, molecular genetics, and related laboratory techniques to visiting students.
• Develop and deliver curriculum for academic‑year field trips and summer camp programmes.
• Engage students with interactive activities, demonstrations, and outreach events.
• Collaborate with the centre’s team to plan and improve educational content.
• Maintain laboratory safety and equipment, ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of teaching or science outreach experience, preferably with pre‑college audiences.
• Advanced degree (M.Sc or Ph.D.) in Biological or Chemical Sciences.
• Research experience in a biology‑related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
