Hydraulic Engineer – Design & Vetting of Drainage Systems

About the role

The company is looking for a Hydraulic Engineer to support the Head of Department in planning and executing design‑vetting activities for drainage systems linked to linear infrastructure. The role involves ensuring timely delivery, maintaining clear communication with contractors and client representatives, and contributing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and vet drainage system designs for channels, ditches and culverts.
• Perform hydraulic modeling using dedicated software and conduct hydrological analyses.
• Execute one‑dimensional steady flow, one‑ and two‑dimensional unsteady flow calculations and sediment transport simulations.
• Prepare design briefs, technical reports, calculations and review designs prepared by others.
• Provide technical comments, attend interactive meetings with contractors and clients, and supervise junior staff.
• Conduct periodic site visits in coordination with the work supervision team.
