Human Resources Manager

About the role

We seek to hire an experienced Human Resources Manager to drive strategic and operational HR initiatives. The role involves partnering with business leaders to align people strategies with organisational goals while overseeing core HR functions, employee engagement, talent management, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers to implement HR initiatives that support business and departmental objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for assigned business units.
• Support employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievance resolution, and conflict management.
• Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate learning and development programs to improve employee performance and capability.
• Support payroll administration, compensation and benefits processes, and HR operations.
• Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment.
• Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
• Hands‑on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and HR operations.
• Experience partnering with line managers to implement people initiatives and support business objectives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and analytical, problem‑solving, planning, and organisational abilities.
