Housekeeper

About the role

The Housekeeper will ensure that guest rooms and public areas of the hotel meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Working closely with the housekeeping team, you will support a comfortable and safe environment for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels and replenish room amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitize assigned areas on a regular basis.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, report maintenance issues, damages or safety hazards.
• Use and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly, maintaining inventory and notifying supervisors of shortages.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or housekeeping services.
• Follow hotel policies, health regulations and safety procedures.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items according to hotel procedures.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude when interacting with guests.
• Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and hotel departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum High School qualification (S.S.C.E).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar housekeeping role.
