Hotel Runner – Guest Service & Delivery

About the role

The Hotel Runner ensures timely delivery of food, beverages and other items to guests and hotel areas, supporting wait staff and maintaining service flow. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates who enjoy a fast‑paced hospitality environment and have a strong customer‑service mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen or service area to guest rooms, restaurants, lounges and event spaces.
• Assist waiters and other hotel staff with prompt order delivery.
• Collect and return used plates, trays and service equipment to their proper locations.
• Set up and clear tables in dining areas and events.
• Respond quickly to guest requests, delivering items to rooms or other hotel zones.
• Transport luggage, supplies, documents and other items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of corridors, service areas and workspaces.
• Support housekeeping and other departments by moving and delivering supplies.
• Report guest requests, complaints or unusual situations to supervisors.
• Follow hotel safety, hygiene and service standards at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE (or equivalent) qualification.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, hospitality or customer‑service setting is an advantage.
• Physically fit, able to stand, walk and carry items for extended periods.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and professional appearance.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and ability to work in a busy environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Honesty, punctuality and eagerness to learn.
