Hotel Maintenance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Hotel Maintenance Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt. The role involves ensuring that all hotel facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently, providing a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas and building systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and other systems.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Maintain generators, water supply, air‑conditioning units, elevators and lighting.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs, service records and repair documentation.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs.
• Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire‑prevention and environmental regulations.
• Assist in emergency response and support renovation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum High School (S.S.C.E) qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
