Hotel Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Hotel Business Development Manager to grow occupancy, generate new revenue streams and build strong commercial relationships for our property in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to acquire corporate, institutional and partnership clients, maintaining an active business‑development pipeline.
• Identify and pursue new accounts, conduct sales calls, presentations and negotiate corporate accommodation agreements.
• Drive initiatives to increase room occupancy, direct bookings and promote meeting spaces and events.
• Research market trends, competitor activity and underserved segments to position the hotel effectively.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to improve online visibility, monitor OTA performance and support direct‑booking campaigns.
• Maintain a database of corporate clients, conduct regular follow‑ups and gather feedback to encourage repeat business.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, track revenue generated from business‑development activities and provide market intelligence to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in hotel sales, business development or hospitality marketing.
• Proven track record of generating corporate accounts and partnerships for hotels, serviced apartments or short‑let properties.
• Strong knowledge of the Abuja corporate and hospitality market (advantageous).
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
• Commercially minded, target‑driven and able to work independently.
