Home Tutor – Primary Subjects (Phonics, English, Math, Science)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to provide one‑on‑one instruction to two primary school children (Primary 2 and Primary 5) in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The tutor will follow the Nigerian curriculum and cover phonics, English, mathematics and science.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1 hour of focused lessons on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5 PM at the client’s home.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the Nigerian primary curriculum.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to each child’s learning style.
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience teaching primary‑level students, preferably in the Nigerian education system.
• Ability to teach phonics, basic English, arithmetic and introductory science.
• Flexible schedule to meet the specified days and times.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian primary curriculum.
• Effective communication and classroom management.
