Health, Safety & Environment Assistant

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment Assistant will support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on preventing workplace incidents and fostering a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential workplace hazards, assess risks and recommend control measures.
• Inspect equipment, processes and the environment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist investigations of incidents, accidents or near‑misses and implement corrective actions.
• Drive implementation of HSE leading programs and maintain PPE issuance records.
• Support compliance with environmental permits, waste disposal procedures and emergency evacuation coordination.
• Maintain HSE records, permits to work, risk assessments and audit reports.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in managing occupational health and safety risks.
• Good knowledge of process safety management.
• Integrity, teamwork orientation and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• General Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Level 1, 2 and 3 certifications.
• NEBOSH IGC certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Risk management and hazard assessment techniques.
